Death penalty to rapists? YES OR NO

India after 68 years of independence though has achieved economic political and social progress but has constantly forgotten it’s cultural values is what it can be believed. we say we should treat woman as individual agents, equally responsible as men are in the society , but is being considered equally responsible is anywhere the reason responsible for being raped?

The people who at their top of their voices shout against gender discrimination are the same people who say she shouldn’t have worn jeans it provokes people when a woman gets raped, it is hard to believe that we live amongst people who worship woman in the form of goddesses but don’t think for a second before raping them.

And what are the reasons? Because her clothes were provoking or she said no to have any sexual relationship with you or you want to show how manly you are? You got a dick so that makes you a man, biologically speaking yes you are but you are no more than a pussy..

  1. Rape is a crime against humanity. Everyone, regardless of gender, should be outraged when this crime is committed.

      1. I agree. In essence, the crime of rape murdered someones life. Maybe they survive physically, but they will carry the scars of the crime for the rest of their lives. The harshest punishment that the law allows for should be applied to them, up to and including the death penalty.

      2. The death penalty according me is the most easiest way out, death is final wile life is so full of possibilities. I believe in making them regret what they did as long as they live and torture them until they beg for death but even death refuses to come.
        P.S : I sound like some psychopath ๐Ÿ˜›

      3. haha! Yes, you sound like the Joker! ๐Ÿ˜€ Seriously though, the death penalty is too easy. But, my fear is that after serving time in prison, they are released and present a danger again.

      5. I’m sure that they will listen. :p If they don’t, vote them out and get some fresh people in with fresh ideas. Change will happen!

  2. I’d like to add my own two cents to this discussion.
    1) Death penalty is both archaic and an easy way out for the culprit. It is not always the answer because the guilty might even come to repent his action, might want to change to a better human being. He has, as you contend, murdered a soul. But even for murder, the death penalty is rarely used these days. World over, the trend is to give multiple life sentences for horrific crimes so that the guilty can never roam free. If he’s a serial rapist or such, I think multiple life sentences are a better option. Let him pay his whole natural life for the multiple sins he committed.

    2) The argument against castration or death penalty is also that in some cases, the defendant might be falsely implicated. I accept that such cases are few and far between but that doesn’t mean they don’t happen. Most laws in the IPC, as well as the public perception, are such that an innocent man is presumed guilty until he is able to prove himself innocent. Isn’t that a travesty of justice? And what about the fact that if he is castrated or haged, he’ll never get to be who he was.

    3) The mentality that the length of a woman’s clothes causes her rape is downright ugly, hypocritic and ignominious. That is victimising the victim. We need to accept that a woman has the right to wear whatever she wants to, and as men we need to give her the respect and space she deserves.

Well I guess that amounted to more than a couple of cents. Hope I didn’t bore you there. ๐Ÿ˜€

Have a nice day, and happy blogging. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. No you didnot bore me at ALL ๐Ÿ˜€
It’s interesting to listen to everyone’s perspective on this sensitive issue, I do agree that a death penalty is one of the most easiest way out for someone who has tortured another person so badly that they carry the horrific memories of it all their lives and I’d like to just edit a bit of what you said I as a woman would not like you to respect me for I am woman but for I am another human being and I deserve to have all the respect any human being or a person is entitled to.

happy blogging to to you too ๐Ÿ˜€
